You can also wrap your jacket around your arm a few times for a fairly good arm shield from a knife slash. I would also highly recommend learning how to use a kubaton. They are mostly legal anywhere you go, are versatile, and many objects can be used in it's place if you don't actually have a genuine kubaton on you (like a pen.) Earlier this week, I was able to defend myself from someone really messing with me using kubaton techniques with a WATER BOTTLE. Works pretty well.

Good video. And thank you so much for mentioning using the keys as a flail versus the silly in between the fingers thing, which is dangerous to your own hand. X-D

He says to look around now for weapons and I realise I have something of an obsession. My room is full of them. The first thing I see is my sword which granted is ornamental but it could still do some real damage.

only use a weapon if you absolutely have to? a knife or gun yeah but some thing like a pen chain book etc…. i would use if the cops are called and an improvised weapon was used it's obvious you were not carrying it to hurt people use an improvised weapon when ever you can DO WHAT EVER YOU CAN TO PUT THE FIGHT IN YOUR FAVOR!!! note i an not talking about guns knifes or sticks  guns knifes and sticks should only be used if your life is threatened if you feel your life or series bloodily injury is threatened use the gun knife or stick    if not use improvised weapons whenever you can!  this vid could have bin a lot better what he said about when to use the weapons was wrong  and if the person knows what he is doing with a knife and you tried to use a backpack like he said you would get carved
